Graduate Student Research Presentation Competition

Call for Abstracts

Calling all graduate students who would like to present their science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (STEM) research!

We invite you to PRESENT and COMPETE at the 2017 AISES National Conference in Denver, CO this September 21-23, 2017!  This call is for both oral and poster research presentations.

This is an excellent opportunity to present your research to a broad audience, practice your presentation skills, add a presentation citation to your resume/CV, and compete for awards and prizes!

Eligibility

  • Current AISES member.  http://www.aises.org/membership
  • Current graduate (Master’s or PhD) student.
  • Research presentations should fall within the following disciplines: STEM, STEM education, traditional knowledge, and other disciplines appropriate for an AISES conference.

How it Works

  • ORAL Presentations: To submit an oral research presentation please fill out the online form, and select the oral research presentation option in the field “Presentation Type”
    • Oral presentations will take place September 21st & 22nd (Thursday & Friday).
  • POSTER Presentations: To submit a poster presentation please fill out the online form, and select the poster research presentation option in the field “Presentation Type”
    • Poster presentations will take place in the exhibit hall with the career fair on September 22nd from 9am to 5pm
  • AISES encourages research collaborations, however only ONE presenter is allowed for both oral and poster presentations.  You are welcome to list co-authors in the Research Abstract Form.

All graduate student research presentation submissions are due July 15, 2017.  You are encouraged to submit early as there are limited spaces and they will be filled based on competiveness and submission date.

  • Graduate student research presenters will receive a 100% registration discount.
  • Wait to register for the Conference! — wait until after your research is accepted and after you receive the proper registration code.  All refunds subject to the Cancellation and Refund Policy.

To Apply

  • You will need to create an account to fill out the online application and submit your abstract.  Please keep the information to your account in case you are required to submit edits.
  • Please review the Research Abstract Form examples prior to submitting, examples are available within the online application.
  • You must download, complete, and then upload the Research Abstract Form (word doc) provided within the online application, no other file types or formats will be accepted.
