Natives in VetMed

Natives in VetMed is 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that aims to enhance Indigenous representation in veterinary medicine through fostering connections among Indigenous professionals and centralize networking opportunities. Through these efforts we hope this provides support to pre-veterinary and veterinary students.

Great Plains Tribal Health

Established in 1986, the Great Plains Tribal Leaders' Health Board (GPTLHB) is an organization representing the 18 tribal communities in the four-state region of South Dakota, North Dakota, Nebraska, and Iowa.

Through public health practices and the formation of tribal partnerships, we work to improve the health of the American Indian peoples we serve by providing public health support and health care advocacy.

Diné College–School of STEM with Land Grant

Today, Diné College serves a predominantly Navajo student population across the 27,000 square miles of the Navajo Nation that spans across the states of Arizona, New Mexico, and Utah. The College offers General Education courses that provide students with a high-quality experience while earning various Certificate as well as Associate and Bachelor degree programs in the areas important to the economic, political, environmental, and social development of the Navajo Nation.

The University of Notre Dame offers 60+ master’s and doctoral programs across:College of Arts and Letters, College of Engineering, College of Science, Keough School of Global Affairs and Doctoral programs in the Mendoza College of Business (primarily PhD)
You do not need a master’s degree to apply for most of our PhD programs.
Funding highlights:
Master’s: up to $20,000 annual stipend year + tuition support varies with program
PhD: full tuition + $35,500–$45,000 annual stipend + health insurance (covers dependents)
Guaranteed funding for up to 5 years
