Undergraduates in Columbia College and Columbia Engineering can choose from nearly 100 areas of study and enhance their classroom conversations through research at 200+ research centers and institutes. Columbia is home to a diverse array of Native and Indigenous communities from all over the world.

Haskell Indian Nations is a four-year institution serving the Indigenous Tribal Nations of federally enrolled and recognized Tribal students. Haskell has a total of four BS & BA degrees and several AS & AA degrees located in Lawrence, KS.

Today, Diné College serves a predominantly Navajo student population across the 27,000 square miles of the Navajo Nation that spans across the states of Arizona, New Mexico, and Utah. The College offers General Education courses that provide students with a high-quality experience while earning various Certificate as well as Associate and Bachelor degree programs in the areas important to the economic, political, environmental, and social development of the Navajo Nation.

The University of Notre Dame offers 60+ master’s and doctoral programs across:College of Arts and Letters, College of Engineering, College of Science, Keough School of Global Affairs and Doctoral programs in the Mendoza College of Business (primarily PhD)
You do not need a master’s degree to apply for most of our PhD programs.
Funding highlights:
Master’s: up to $20,000 annual stipend year + tuition support varies with program
PhD: full tuition + $35,500–$45,000 annual stipend + health insurance (covers dependents)

Carleton offers 33 majors and 40 minors in the arts, humanities, natural sciences, mathematics, and social sciences.

The University of North Carolina at Pembroke is a university with a spirited community of over 7.660 students. Each student is an individual at UNCP. Our students get a chance to make names for themselves — to stand out in a warm and welcoming community that wants them to succeed — and experience a rare combination of opportunities, cultures and ideas that can’t be found anywhere else. Located in the southeastern North Carolina town of Pembroke, UNCP has a rich American Indian history and is one of the safest campuses in the University of North Carolina System.

New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology, or New Mexico Tech, is a small STEM university in central New Mexico known for its rigorous academics and immersive, hands-on research. From day one, students engage directly in real-world projects alongside expert faculty, often collaborating on groundbreaking work in engineering, physics, cybersecurity, geology, and more.

The Harvard University Native American Program (HUNAP) is an Interfaculty Initiative. The HUNAP Community is comprised of individuals interested in the academic, historical, and cultural study and celebration of Native American Nations and communities. HUNAP aims to do this work through academic programming, community events, travel and research grants, and diplomacy efforts.
