We are a nonprofit life science research institute located in Seattle, Washington. Working in brain science, cell science, immunology, and synthetic biology, our goal is to understand the principles that govern life, and to advance health.

Our creative and multi-dimensional teams focus on answering some of the biggest questions in bioscience. The scientific possibilities within our research and discoveries are limitless. We share our data, insights, and tools openly with the world to accelerate progress and catalyze breakthroughs.

Alaska Pacific University

Alaska Pacific University (APU), situated on the traditional homelands of the Dena'ina Athabascan people, is a small, private institution where Indigenous knowledge systems and contemporary STEM education converge. As an Alaska Native- and American Indian-serving institution, we integrate traditional knowledge with scientific inquiry across our Environmental Science, Marine & Environmental Sciences, Health Sciences, Nursing, and Counseling Psychology programs.
